Industrial archaeology is the study of the tangible evidence of social, economic and technological development from the onset of industrialisation to the recent past. AOC Archaeology Group provides a complete service for examining the remains of the industrial past including building recording, laser scan surveys, and technology and soil analysis.

Industrial archaeology encompasses a variety of different areas and AOC Archaeology Group have successfully completed work across many industrial types such as Water Powered Corn Mills, Cotton Mills, Flax Mills, Wool Mills, Canals, Dye Works, Pre-War Bus Depots, Electrical Sub-Stations, Gasworks, Paper Mills, Tobacco Manufactories, Cinemas, Royal Ordnance Factories, Maltings, Tanneries, and Harbours.
