Archaeological Assistants in Southeast England

AOC Archaeology Group currently has vacancies available for Archaeological Assistant positions in southeast England. Initially one month, project specific, contracts will be offered for an excavation within south-east England. It is highly probable that these contracts will be extended at a later date.

The on-site works will include hand excavation and recording, planning, photography, machine excavation supervision, sediment sampling, landscape survey and instrument survey.

In-house works include sample processing, artefact cleaning, sample sorting, preparation of site archives and data input.

You should have a sound archaeological background with a minimum of 3 months experience of practical aspects. It is essential that you are a good team member with a positive approach to commercial archaeology.

Degree level qualifications, IFA membership and secondary specialisms or abilities, along with a clean Drivers Licence and computer literacy would be advantageous.
