Salary Range: £18 000 - £24 000 per annum + benefits

AOC Archaeology conducts projects across the UK with Historic Building Recording teams based in Edinburgh, London, the Midlands and York. This position will be primarily based in London but with a responsibility for the wider HBR activity of the company throughout London and the surrounding areas, and to work closely with our Head of HBR based in the Midlands. It is likely that the post will be appointed at either the Project Officer or Project Supervisor level.
Applicants should have held the responsibility for the co-ordination, direction and completion of historic building recording projects. Applicants should have a sound knowledge of the legislative framework regarding Historic Buildings.
Applicants should have a sound Historic Buildings background with a minimum of 2 years experience of practical aspects, which may include; tendering, staff management, measured survey of historic buildings, interpretation and report writing. It is also essential to be a good team member with a positive approach to commercial archaeology, and to be computer literate (experience of MS Word and Excel is essential; Access and AutoCad desirable).
Degree or post-graduate degree level qualifications in the archaeology of buildings or related discipline, a clean drivers licence and secondary specialisms or abilities are desirable.
